Never mind that he released two albums only last September, it appears Prince is about to release another one shortly.

His 3rdEyeGirl band confirmed Friday to BBC 6 Music that a "super funky" new album, titled The Hit & Run Album (a nod to the Purple One's pop-up shows), is coming "soon."

"Super hardcore Prince fans that know every song he's ever recorded ... this album is absolutely for them, because it's super funky," the band said. "It's weird. There's a lot of experimental sound. It's just hit after hit and definitely caters to those fans who just love to hear what Prince has to say, rather than wanting to always hear that classic Purple Rain Prince sound."

"HARDROCKLOVER," which was released earlier this month, is the first single off the upcoming LP. Additionally, a new version of "This Could Be Us", originally from last year's Art Official Age.
