The Walking Dead will return for its sixth season on Oct. 11, AMC confirmed during the show's panel Friday at Comic-Con in San Diego.

A 90-minute premiere will launch at 9 p.m. EST, likely followed by an edition of Talking Dead.

Last season's premiere set a show record with 17.3 million viewers and 11 million in the coveted 18-49 demograhic.

The network also announced at Comic-Con that prequel series Fear the Walking Dead will launch on Aug. 23 at 9 p.m.
