The Walking Dead executive producer Robert Kirkman on Friday revealed the unexciting title of its companion series, Fear the Walking Dead.

Due to premiere sometime in late summer on AMC, the show is expected to begin as a prequel to the current juggernaut.

Kirkman promised in a tweet: "Expect more news very soon!"

As we previously reported, the original series airs its 90-minute finale this Sunday at 9 p.m.
