Hozier's "Take Me to Church" is one step away from No. 1 on the U.S. charts, after climbing its way up over the past few months.

The hit track, which is one of Variance's Best Songs of 2014, this week replaces Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" at No. 2 , with 157,000 units sold and 8.3 million streams, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Taylor Swift's "Blank Space (also one of our Best of 2014) remains at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth week.

Meanwhile, Mark Ronson has claimed his first top five song in the States with the incredible "Uptown Funk," featuring Bruno Mars. That fast-rising cut, which jumps from No. 8 to No. 5, is also one of our Best Songs of 2014.
