As part of the keynote at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple on Monday afternoon unveiled a newly redesigned Apple Music.

The overhauled app will sport a simpler interface and a section for lyrics, with a much greater emphasis on music discovery, according to the company.

Apple Music, which is just over a year old now, has more than 15 million paying subscribers, Apple announced today.

The decision to focus on music discovery is not a coincidence, as Apple Music's main competitor Spotify has still managed to grow to 30 million users, with a noted emphasis on new music and discovery.

The Apple Music news comes as Amazon and Pandora are both said to be plotting their own music streaming services, likely launching in the second half of this year.
