Following rumors earlier this month, it was confirmed on Thursday that Prince's music will indeed make its way to streaming platforms starting Sunday. 

While neither Apple Music nor Spotify have directly addressed the news, both iHeartRadio and Napster confirmed today the late music icon's catalog will be released on their respective platforms Sunday night.

A spokesperson for iHeartMedia has confirmed to Variance that Prince's catalog will be available on its newly launched streaming networks, iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access.

The news comes as the Recording Academy revealed earlier today this Sunday's Grammy Awards will pay special tribute to both Prince and George Michael.

Prince had been largely against streaming platforms and had previously removed his albums from such services, minus Tidal. At the end of the last month, Spotify began dropping hints about soon welcoming Prince's music to its platform with purple-themed ads.

At press time, reps for Apple Music hadn't commented.
