3 of my favorite British singers right now
Lianne La Havas
Lianne La Havas is a 22 year old British neo soul singer who is blessed with a gorgeously smooth voice. She kind of reminds me of Erykah Badu, with confessional lyrics. The UK loves her, and she won the BBC Sound of 2012 poll. She is currently working on her full length debut album, and I can't wait.
Katy B
23 year old Kathleen Katie Brien (aka Katy B) is huge in the UK. I love her style of music with its dance-worthy, dubstep pop. She has been touring the US and Canada a lot since the beginning of 2012 including a big performance at SXSW. I think she has so much potential.
Delilah
Delilah (real name Paloma Stoecker) is a 21 years old British singer songwriter. She’s got a great voice that reminds me a little of Dolores O’riordan when she hits the high notes and her music is so catchy. She has released a couple of EPs and her debut album From The Roots Up released earlier this summer. Get it, I guarantee you'll like it!
