Adele has been able to accomplish things many artists only dream of. And now the famed singer, who's been the subject of many jabs over her weight, is now taking issue with the way some pop stars have gone about selling their records--using their bodies.
According to the Daily Star, speaking about stars Lady Gaga and Madonna, Adele said: “They don’t look how they do in magazines or videos. I have seen them up close. They don’t even look like that. Exploiting yourself sexually is not a good look. I don’t find it encouraging.”
She added: “I have never seen magazine covers and music videos and thought, ‘I need to look like that to be a success.’ ... I just stand there and sing. No matter what you look like, the key is to be happy with yourself.”
In the past, Madonna has come to Adele's defense when critics commented (or worse) about her weight, and she even took to Twitter over the summer to congratulate the British singer on her pregnancy.blog comments powered by Disqus
