This year's fifth installment of Life Is Beautiful Festival goes down this weekend in downtown Las Vegas.

Once again, there are plenty of recognizable names performing such as Chance the Rapper, Muse, Gorillaz, Lorde, Cage the Elephant, 2 Chainz, HAIM, Pusha T and MGMT. But this year's lineup also offers a chance to see a good mix of up-and-coming artists and others who haven't been on the festival circuit as often this year.

Among the must-sees are THEY., Shy Girls, Sigrid, SG Lewis and Dua Lipa, all of whom haven't been playing festivals as frequently this season. Meanwhile, Kamaiyah, Russ, Jacob Banks, Hippo Campus and KYLE are all offering standout performances as they watch their stars rise.

Life Is Beautiful runs Friday through Sunday (Sept. 22-24). Check out this year's must see-acts below and for Variance's coverage this weekend, follow along here.

Kamaiyah (FRI 3 P.M. DOWNTOWN STAGE)
The Oakland rapper is coming off recent appearances at Meadows and FYF Fest, and she's about to release new music next week. Her single "I'm On" was among Variance's Best Songs of 2016 and she's clearly been in the studio putting in the work. We're ready.

Shy Girls (FRI 4:20 P.M. AMBASSADOR STAGE)
This is one of Dan Vidmar's few live performances this year, but it comes perhaps as the Portland artist has been working on new music, even after releasing his debut full-length Salt in January. Last month, he released a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" and Life is Beautiful would seem like a great opportunity to test new material.

THEY. (FRI 6:50 P.M. HUNTRIDGE STAGE)
The rising duo has really been on the upswing lately. Not only did they release their debut album but they also teamed up with Lido for one of our favorite songs of the year so far. They had a short tour earlier this year, but this is one of the few chances to see them live for the remainder of 2017.

Russ (FRI 10:35 P.M. HUNTRIDGE STAGE)
The Georgia singer-rapper has been on fire in recent months. He's been one our favorites this festival season and in addition to having his recent debut album be certified gold, he's clearly been busy in the studio, so we know he's bringing the heat to Vegas.

Jacob Banks (SAT 4:45 P.M. AMBASSADOR STAGE)
He's been simmering all year long, proving to be one of the most refreshing and stunning voices right now. Earlier this month, he shared his new single "Unknown (To You)," a breathtaking preview of his upcoming debut album. He's definitely to watch, at Life If Beautiful and far beyond.

Sigrid (SAT 5:10 P.M. HUNTRIDGE STAGE)
The Norwegian singer is having a great year. She released her Don't Kill My Vibe EP earlier this year and the title track was among the contenders for Variance's 2017 Song of Summer. As we head into the fall, we're definitely excited to see what she has planned next.

SG Lewis (SUN 3 P.M. AMBASSADOR STAGE)
The British producer has been quietly at work for most of the year, but coming off recent collaborations with Dave, Ray BLK and Toulouse, he has a handful of fall shows scheduled. It seems like fans are really in for a treat.

Hippo Campus (SUN 5:30 P.M. AMBASSADOR STAGE)
They delivered one of our favorite performances earlier this summer at Lollapalooza. And not only are they supporting their recent debut album, but they also dropped a new EP last week, so for fans at Life Is Beautiful, the timing really couldn't be any better.

KYLE (SUN 6:40 P.M. FREMONT STAGE)
He's been steadily been gaining momentum all summer long with his instant favorite singles like "Nothing 2 Lose," but he teased fans earlier this month with promise of an album on the way, so on this first weekend of the fall, there's no telling what could happen once KYLE takes the stage.

Dua Lipa (SUN 8:30 P.M. HUNTRIDGE STAGE)
She's been making her "New Rules" all year as she supports her debut album, but she is right now having the biggest moment of her career so far, currently on tour opening for Bruno Mars with her own headlining tour starting later this year. Her show is absolutely electric and easily one of the must-see performances this weekend.
