Only Seven Other Songs Have Been No. 1 Longer Than 'Uptown Funk'

This is no April Fool's joke. Only seven other songs have ever been No. 1 longer than Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk!," which has extended its three-month reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 to 13 weeks, as of Wednesday.

The song has now surpassed Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell's 2013 smash "Blurred Lines" (12 weeks) as this decade's longest-running chart-topper and has tied Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" and Brandy and Monica's "The Boy Is Mine," both of which remained No. 1 for 13 weeks in 1992 and 1998, respectively.

Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" (1995) holds the record with 16 weeks at No. 1. But as no other song appears positioned to challenge "Funk" on the charts, a 14th week appears imminent.

The other six songs which have spent longer than 13 weeks at No. 1 are: Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You," "Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)," Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997"/"Something About the Way You Look Tonight," Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" and The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling," all of which topped the charts for 14 weeks.
