Beck was himself surprised by his Album of the Year win at Sunday's Grammys. And he says he agrees with Kanye West, who nearly interrupted the former's acceptance speech, saying that Beyoncé "absolutely" should have won.

"I was just so excited he was coming up," Beck told Us Weekly after the ceremony. "He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?"

"I thought [Beyoncé] was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce!" said Beck, adding that despite West's very candid displeasure (seen below) over Bey's loss, there are no hard feelings. "You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
