U2 has delivered their new album.

Minus the hype of previous records, Bono and Co. took the stage Tuesday at Apple's big iPhone 6 reveal to announce a release of their own, U2's new album, Songs of Innocence, which was immediately made available exclusively on iTunes, iTunes Radio and—of course—Beats Music.

While the release of the new LP follows in the footsteps of Beyoncé's surprise self-titled record last year, Songs is unlikely to generate the same amount of buzz, despite its instant availability.

The album will be served to the first 500 million users cross 119 countries who choose to take advantage of the free offer, which will continue now until Oct. 13.

A rep for U2 confirms the album will receive a proper release on Oct. 14 via Interscope Records.
