The Department of Homeland Security is looking into the hacking of comedian Leslie Jones' iCloud account.

“ICE Homeland Security Investigations in New York does currently have an open investigation,” a DHS spokesperson said Thursday. “As a matter of agency policy, we are unable to disclose any information related to an active investigation.”

The investigation follows a breach in Jones' iCloud account on Wednesday. A number of her personal photos, including nude pictures, her driver's license and passport, were then shared on her Tumblr website, which has since been taken down. Additionally, personal information such as her phone number and Twitter password were made public.

Jones has been the recipient of a number of online attacks following her role in the recent Ghostbusters reboot, which prompted a very targeted, hateful and racist Twitter campaign against the actress, led by Milo Yiannopoulos, writer for the conservative website Breitbart.

After Twitter banned Yiannopoulos for his actions, he declared: “This will blow up in their faces, netting me more adoring fans. We’re winning the culture war, and Twitter just shot themselves in the foot. This is the end for Twitter."

Shortly after news of Jones' hack on Wednesday, Yiannopoulos took to Snapchat to respond. “Shit just heard about Leslie Jones," he said. "Had no idea!!! Ignore that karma thing lol.”

Reps for the Saturday Night Live actress have yet to respond to the online hack and the full impact of this latest attack is currently unclear.
