'Fargo' Adds Mary Elizabeth Winstead for Third Season

Fargo is adding 10 Cloverfield Lane star Mary Elizabeth Winstead to the cast of its upcoming third season.

The actress will play Nikki Swango, Variance has confirmed. He character is described as pivotal one, a captivating but cunning parolee who is always one step ahead of opponents.

Winstead joins previously announced lead Ewan McGregor, who will star as brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy alongside The Leftovers' Carrie Coon, who will portray Gloria Burgle, the chief of police who is recently divorced and facing multiple struggles.

Little is known about Fargo's third season, but it is rumored to be set in 2010 and somehow be connected to the FX anthology series' first season, which was set in 2006 in Minnesota.
