Parks and Recreation alum Retta has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming drama pilot Good Girls, joining Parenthood's Mae Whitman and Episodes' Kathleen Rose Perkins in the lead trio.

The script will come from former Scandal Executive Producer Jenna Bans. And according to TVLine, it follows three “good girl” suburban wives and mothers suddenly faced with dire circumstances. They ultimately decide to "stop playing it safe and risk everything to take their power back."

Retta, who is currently finishing production on the fifth and final season of Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, will star in the NBC pilot as Ruby, described as a "protective, smart and likable wife and mother who takes desperate measures to care for her ailing 11-year-old daughter."

As we previously reported, Retta also shot an ABC comedy pilot Hail Mary last year alongside Casey Wilson.

The Good Girls cast will also include Matthew Lillard (The Bridge), Manny Montana (Graceland) and Reno Wilson (Mike & Molly).
