Adele's new album 25 has already crossed the 2 million mark in its first three days, making it only the second ever to achieve such sales in a single week.

According to Nielsen Music, the long-awaited album has moved 2.3 million units, totaling roughly 1,600 copies every minute since its release last Friday.

Industry forecasters expect 25 to finish with 2.9 million-plus sold by the end of the sales tracking week Thursday night, easily nabbing the all-time single-week sales record, which has been held by *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached (2.4 million) since March 2000.
