It's official. Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late mixtape-turned-album has become the first record released this year to sell a million copies in the U.S.

Nielsen Music reported Monday the set, which released back in February via Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records, has reached 1.007 million total copies sold after selling 8,000 units this past week.

Coincidentally, Taylor Swift's 1989 (which was the first album of 2014 to go platinum when it debuted last November) has also sold more than one million units this year: 1.463 million since January, for a total of 5.124 million total.
