Eight years after Gilmore Girls aired its final episode on The CW, the cast acknowledged at Saturday's ATX Television Festival in Austin that they're open to an onscreen reboot or film.

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said during a live reunion panel at the fest that "there’s nothing in the works at the moment,” but she offered hope. “Here’s the good thing," she said, responding to recent rumors of a reboot, "Nobody here hates each other. [But] it would have to be the right everything— right format, timing, budget. It would have to be honored in a certain way."

"If it ever came around, I think we would all jump in and do it," Sherman-Palladino proclaimed, to which the cast members nodded in agreement.

Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Danny Strong (Doyle), Scott Patterson (Luke), Jared Padalecki (Dean), Keiko Agena (Lane), Kelly Bishop (Emily) and Liza Weil (Paris) were among the main cast and recurring actors who reunited at ATX.

Patterson, who was largely responsible for sparking rumors about a reboot, perhaps best echoed the cast's sentiments: "I think it's kind of time, don't you?"
