As she gets ready to release her new album, Janelle Monáe is treating fans to a new song called "PYNK."

The track, a collaboration with Grimes, arrived Tuesday with an accompanying video directed by Emma Westenberg. The bright and colorful clip might first seem to be bubblegum pop gem, but it's laced in female empowerment.

"PYNK is a brash celebration of creation," Monáe said in a note for the song's release. "Self love. Sexuality. And pussy power! PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere ... PYNK is where the future is born."

The song is the third from the singer-actress' upcoming album Dirty Computer, which is coming April 27. It follows previously released standouts "Make Me Feel" and "Django Jane."

"PYNK" actually isn't the first time Monáe and Grimes have teamed up, as they also collaborated on Grimes' Art Angels cut "Venus Fly."
