Apple's launch of its new music streaming service is indeed "happening tomorrow," says Sony CEO Doug Morris.
Chris O'Brien of VentureBeat reported that Morris confirmed the news in Cannes on Sunday during the music industry conference Midem, where he also re-emphasized that "paid streaming tiers are good. Ad-supported, unless there a conversion factor, are not so good."
The annual Worldwide Developer Conference begins Monday in San Francisco and has long been expected to mark the official debut of Apple's iTunes/Beats reboot (aka Spotify competitor).
Drake and Pharrell Williams are among those expected to be part of the new service in some capacity, while rumors also surfaced last month that Kanye West might release his highly anticipated album on the new platform.
