It's official now: After Fox earlier this month passed on a new season of The Mindy Project, the Mindy Kaling-led comedy is moving to Hulu.
The streaming service has ordered a massive, 26-episode fourth season of the show, which ended on a cliffhanger back in March. (By contrast, broadcast series traditionally receive a max of 22 episodes—24 if they're lucky—per season.)
“I am thrilled The Mindy Project has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show,” Kaling said in a statement released Friday. “It’s such an exciting place to be.”
The new season will likely premiere in late 2015 or early 2016. For now, all previous episodes of the show are streaming exclusively on Hulu.
