CarPlay, Apple's in-dash connectivity for vehicles, will be available on "more than 40 new models" shipping by year's end, the company revealed Monday during its Spring Forward event.

Additionally, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that every "major" car manufacturer has committed to offer vehicles featuring CarPlay.

CarPlay syncs with iPhones and allows users to control various phone functions from the vehicle's display system. Such features include Siri, navigation, phone calls, iMessage and music (iTunes Radio, Spotify, etc.).
