The Recording Academy is switching up its annual GRAMMY nomination announcement and turning it into a Christmas special.
Ariana Grande, Pharrell, Maroon 5 and Tim McGraw will perform what is being dubbed A Very GRAMMY Christmas, which will see the acts performing "holiday songs and current pop hits," according to a press release.
Set for Friday, Dec. 5, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS, the pre-taped event will also include the revelation of the Album of the Year nominees. The other categories will be announced that morning.
This is different from the past couple of years, in which the Academy held a live concert on CBS to announce the nominations.
The 57th annual GRAMMY Awards are set for Feb. 8 at the STAPLES Center, airing live on CBS.
Additional performers for the Christmas special are forthcoming.
