Days after apparently offering to help America's first Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan before he died, Chris Brown has added some context regarding his interest in the virus.

"I don't know ... But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control," he tweeted early Monday morning. "Shit is getting crazy bruh."

When Twitter users blasted his conspiracy theory, he responded: "Let me shut my black ass up!" But as of this writing, both tweets are still live.

While Brown's sentiments might represent a minority, he's hardly alone.

According to the CDC, more than 4,000 people have died from Ebola, including one in the United States.
