Geoff Barrow of Portishead has taken to Twitter this week accusing Phantogram of sampling his music without proper consent.

According to the instrumentalist, his drum parts from the Jimi Entley Sound track "Charlie's Theme" are featured on the duo's 2009 song "When I'm Small."

As Pitchfork pointed out, Barrow has directed a handful of tweets at Phantogram over the past few days, inquiring about the samples. By Monday afternoon, he announced: "Rt. @Phantogram aren't getting back to my polite tweets asking why they sampled me without asking ... Must be busy?"

The dispute isn't Barrow's first, as he claimed last year that Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) used or re-recorded a portion of Portishead's "Machine Gun" for "You Belong to the World."

After Tesfaye claimed the track was only inspired by Portishead and not a direct copy, Barrow earlier this year produced an alleged letter from Tesfaye's label requesting to sample the track in question—a request that was eventually denied.

At press time, Phantogram had yet to respond to the allegations against them.
