Thanks to an ongoing Senate Intelligence Committee investigation of the CIA, new details on wrongful detentions and interrogation methods have been revealed, including the use of Red Hot Chili Peppers music as a torture device for terror suspects.
While the government's interrogation techniques and possible secret prison locations have long been at the center of controversy, a former interrogator told Al Jazeera one detainee was subjected to some rather extreme levels of torture, having been stuffed inside a pet crate for two weeks and being hung from the ceiling by his wrists, all while loud music—specifically that of RHCP—was played on repeat.
