Phantom Planet got fans excited on Thursday afternoon with one simple tweet containing only the words, "RAISE THE DEAD..."

Raise the Dead is the title of their last album together, which was released in 2008. Since then, the band has been on hiatus minus a couple of one-off engagements and individual projects.

Immediately, fans on Twitter lit up with speculation about a possible reunion. We reached out to the band's manager, who says there's "nothing to it as of now."

This isn't the first time rumors have started up. In 2011, former guitarist Darren Robinson tweeted that "Phantom Planet is talking lately about some stuff." The next year, the band reunited for a couple of shows in Los Angeles. But they've been mostly quiet since then.
