Columbia Records announced on Tuesday that it has formed "a new partnership" with Pharrell Williams, who will release his new solo album in 2014.

While next summer will mark eight years since the release of his debut solo LP, In My Mind, Pharrell has been a busy man. In fact, over the past year, he's been very good to Columbia as well, with his contributions to Daft Punk's hit Random Access Memories and that unexpected Beyoncé album, which has his production fingerprints all over it.

The label also confirmed Tuesday that Pharrell's new track "Happy," off the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, will be included on the forthcoming record.
