Mayer Hawthorne Announces 2014 'Where Does This Door Go' Tour

Following the release of this year's Where Does This Door Go, Mayer Hawthorne will kick off 2014 with a headlining tour in support of his new record.

The "Where Does This Door Go" Tour, which is set to begin Jan. 30 at San Diego's House of Blues, will see the alt-soul singer crisscross the country through March.

News of Hawthorne's solo tour comes after the singer spent the second-half of 2013 on tour with OneRepublic and later Bruno Mars. Speaking with Variance earlier this year, Hawthorne said he's enjoyed his time on the road with the aforementioned, explaining that "the response has been great. Every night we have people that are like, ‘Wow, I’ve never heard you before. I’m gonna check you out.’ And that’s what it’s all about."

Last month, Hawthorne released a new app which enables users to become a virtual DJ. Available on both iPhone and Android devices, the app also allows fans to unlock exclusive tracks.
