Following an earlier report last month that U2 could be finalizing its next album sometime this month, it appears the band has a release date in mind.

According to Billboard, the Bono-led outfit is eyeing a tentative release in April and is also in the process of looking for "brand partners" to announce the new project during the Super Bowl in February.

As we previously reported, bassist Adam Clayton confirmed last month that the band has been in the studio working on the album, telling an Irish radio station: "We’re trying to get these 12 songs absolutely right and get them finished by the end of November."

The new album, which has been recorded at New York's Electric Lady Studios, is being produced by Danger Mouse.
