Danny Brown, Pretty Lights to Perform Solo After War of Words on Twitter

Following a day-long Twitter spat, Danny Brown and Pretty Lights (aka Derek Vincent Smith) will not be performing together Saturday night in Nashville.

Brown has been set to open for Smith on a handful of dates, but after their St. Louis stint this week, the two got wrapped up in a war of tweets, which appears to have been started by the Detroit rapper.

Both artists were not satisfied with the outcome of their previous show, but they have conflicting claims: Brown says the show was "trash" because of a subpar sound man; meanwhile, Smith says Brown's set was "weak" because he lashed out at attendees for their lack of enthusiasm and subsequently threw his microphone into the crowd.

The pair traded barbs on Twitter through Saturday, when Brown ultimately decided that he would not be performing with Smith for their Nashville show, instead announcing that he will be performing solo at a separate venue. The two are both slated to perform later this month at Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas.
