A big year in music will be highlighted by the official GRAMMY nominations in December.

The Recording Academy confirmed on Wednesday that the GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music's Biggest Night will air live on CBS from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on Friday, Dec. 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour special will feature performances by past winners and/or nominees. Presenter and performer information will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the Academy.

The announcement will set the stage for the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which will be held Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in L.A.
