Nashville-based musician Ben Rector announced on Tuesday the details behind his newest album, The Walking In Between, which will arrive on Aug. 20 via Aptly Named Recordings. The new record was partially self-produced with production by Jamie Kenney as well. New tracks will include "When I'm With You," "Ordinary Love," "Making Money" and "Sailboat," with more details to come.
The new set follows Rector's previous two successful independent releases, 2010's Into the Morning and 2011's Something Like This. Both albums were iTunes leaders, with Something Like This reaching No. 1 on the digital retailer's Singer/Songwriter Albums chart and tracks from both appearing on multiple television shows such as One Tree Hill, Castle, The Neighbors and Pretty Little Liars.
Rector has spent the past couple of years touring (including dates supporting NEEDTOBREATHE). He plans to announce new tour dates next month.
As we previously reported, the multi-talented musician covered the late Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" following the singer's death last February. If you need an example of his work, do yourself a favor and check out the video below:
