He is being charged with leaving the scene without exchanging proper information and driving without a valid license (crimes punishable with up to six months in jail). But the musician on Tuesday took to Twitter and responded to the charges, claiming he "followed the proper procedures" and that the driver is simply trying to hitch a ride on the Breezy publicity train. "She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown," he explained. "She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene."
He also claims he did not leave the scene: "It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars)," he said via Twitter, before posting a picture of the woman's car to prove the lack of damage done.
The video here suggests the two did converse and likely exchange information. But it still appears Mr. Brown is heading back to the courtroom, providing yet another unwanted dent in his post-Rihanna probation record.
