After performing a new song earlier this month, Sigur Rós is planning an announcement Monday afternoon, the band confirmed earlier today.
They have shared a teaser video on their website promising "sigurrosrouteone begins 21.00 GMT [5 p.m. EST]."
Not much else is known about the announcement, but the band has an album expected to be released later this year.

Update: The band has announced it is celebrating today's Summer Solstice with a live broadcast of their music soundtracking a "1332km journey the whole way round Iceland's coastal ring road," created in realtime with the Bronze app.
"In a day and age of instant gratification and everything moving so fast, we wanted to do the exact opposite," Sigur Rós' Jónsi Birgisson said in a statement. "Slow TV is counter-active to the world we live in, in that it happens in real time and real slow."
The full broadcast can be seen for 24 hours on Iceland's Ruv 2 and globally on YouTube.
