It appears some key questions about Zendaya's role in the upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming have been answered.

Citing two sources familiar with the project, The Wrap on Thursday reported the 19-year-old singer-actress will play Mary Jane Watson (Spider-Man's love interest) in the Sony reboot, which stars British actor Tom Holland as a 15-year-old Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

When Zendaya joined the cast earlier this year, her character was ambiguously listed only as "Michelle," a classmate of Parker's and a key role within the film, although no other details were provided.

As we previously reported, the cast includes Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., among others.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
