AMC’s Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul is giving fans of the former series reason to get even more excited.
Executive producer Peter Gould told the New York Daily News that the Saul timeline will include periods before, during and after the timeframe in which Breaking Bad took place. That would leave the door open for the return of Bryan Cranston's Walter White and other characters—even deceased ones.
“One of the great things about having a timeline which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before Breaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad,” said Gould "That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on Breaking Bad.”
He was also quick to point out that Better Call Saul is a "show that stands on it own, is its own story, and is a brand extension.”
Better Call Saul is expected to premiere in early 2015 on AMC.
