Up-and-coming Nashville outfit VEAUX is kickstarting a busy year with the release of their new single "You Won't Say That."

The bustling pop cut is premiering today on Variance ahead of its official release on Friday (Jan. 31). It comes as the trio, made up of Aaron Wagner, Andrew Black and Dominic Wagner, is ready to share a surge of new music in the coming months. As a matter of fact, this new song is the first preview of what they're calling The 2020 Mixtape.

"Approaching your thirties while being in the music industry has been an interesting journey," the group says. "Life isn't quite what we thought it would be, and while that may sound discouraging, we're actually very excited to sing about it and let people into our world on a deeper level. This song is us grappling with the idea that our peers are now exiting their first marriages—that used to be a thing old people talked about and now it's us."

Previously known by the indie-rock moniker Medic, and based in Colorado, VEAUX has leaned into more pop territory since relocating to Nashville.
