While we might be saying goodbye to the summer of 2020, ViVii is out here with their eyes on the "Summer of 99."

Coming a day after Labor Day in the States (the unofficial end of summer), the Swedish trio is premiering a new set of visuals for their dazzling new track. The newly released clip plays like a dream, with the band draped in a glistening haze as they perform the song surrounded by hanging lights at what appears to be an intimate camp site.

"We all had big ambitions for this video," says the band, made up of Emil and Caroline Jonsson alongside their enigmatic work partner Anders Eckeborn. "We planned to fly, zoom and sprint all over Stockholm. But then we started to barbecue by the camper in a backyard and it was so nice, so we ended up filming the end of our barbecue party—a so-called one-take."

"Summer of 99" makes for perfect end-of-summer listening, serving as a preview of ViVii's upcoming second album the followup to their 2019 self-titled debut. The new record is expected to arrive next spring.
