It may be Monday, but Titus Makin (aka Butterfly Ali) is kicking off the new week on a high note, with the release of the video for his new song "5 Minutes."

The electric video is premiering today on Variance, delivering a high-energy set of visuals for the funk-infused track, which nods heavily to influences such as Rick James and Funkadelic, beaming with fun retro vibes.

“I wanted this video to feel just conversational, relatable, and fun," he says. "Filming an affordable video during a global pandemic wasn’t exactly the easiest thing, but the crew, actors and models I had involved made for a smooth experience. I want people to watch this video and just feel like it’s OK to be goofy, free, and funky.”

Known for his recurring TV roles on shows such as Pretty Little Liars, The Rookie and Glee, Makin has emerged as an up-and-coming music artist, with his recent singles like "Rose" and "Righteous." He also has an upcoming track produced by Kendrick Lamar collaborator Sam Barsh.
