What a better way to end the week than the arrival of new music from Down Under.

Australian newcomer Ben Steiner (aka Seph Cove) is releasing his debut If This Were You EP today and it's premiering on Variance. The project is only six tracks, but it's an entrancing, simply stunning introduction for the emerging singer-songwriter. And to top it all off, Steiner teamed up with fellow Aussie favorite Tim Bettinson (aka Vancouver Sleep Clinic), who co-wrote or produced five of the six tracks. He co-wrote and produced the EP closer "Here & Now," which is perhaps the best of the project, but "Falling" and "Let Me Know" are also close favorites.

And while this burst of new music from Steiner and Bettinson is certainly a welcome way to spend the weekend, it's apparently not all the two have been working on, as more is said to be on the way "very soon."

For now, listen to the If This Were You EP below.
