Last month, Los Angeles alt-rockers Paper Jackets shared their electric new single "Bones."

Today, Variance is premiering the band's accompanying video for "Bones," which is a preview of their upcoming project Souvenirs Part Two. Directed by Cory Ingram, the video follows a young man searching for answers.

"A window into a windowless cell, faded with pale paint and stained by mildew," says the band. "The video tells a bleak and desperate story of a young man looking for the wrong cure when it so often feels like we are grabbing the red pill when we ought to be grabbing the blue one. We wanted people's first thoughts while watching this video, and immediately after, to be 'this character is being broken down to his / her / their bones, and is experiencing a powerful change from their recent condition.'"

Speaking about the song itself, the band says "Bones" is a song "about ambition and the fear that’s sometimes needed to make whatever it is you need to happen, happen."

"Bones" is a riveting offering and the video only further brings the lyrics to life. See the clip below.
