Bailey Crone (aka Bathe Alone) is preparing to release a new album, but today, she's offering the first glimpse of it.

She is releasing lead single "Decades & Dreams" on Friday (March 4), and it's premiering a day early on Variance. The astonishing new track is a lush, dream-pop wonder, drawing on the vibes of Beach House and Clairo. It's the first off Crone's upcoming sophomore record Fall With The Lights Down, which is expected this summer via Kansas City label The Record Machine.

"The inspiration behind the album artwork came from browsing my dad’s family photo albums on Facebook," recalls Crone. "I came across this one of my great grandma on a boat and she had an orange life vest on. She was looking straight into the camera and she doesn’t look happy at all. The picture was so ridiculous looking I thought, 'that’s the album art.'"

The singer continues: "I came across more photos from the trip and found my other great grandma on the boat in a yellow life vest with a picnic basket. In the music video, I worked with director Nic Huey to take those two people and run with the idea that they’re best friends reliving and reminiscing on a past vacation. Whereas in real life, they were in-laws and probably ready to go home by the looks of it!"
