It seems like we're getting a new song from Johan once a month. And he's continuing that flow with his new song "Fifteen," which just arrived today and also features contributions from fellow Variance fave Dan Vidmar (aka Shy Girls).

Nearly a month after dropping "I Don't Do Drugs Anymore" and two months after releasing "Everybody's Cool But Me," he has given fans a brand new standout cut with "Fifteen," which comes with an accompanying set of visuals, maintaining a similar vibe of youth and partying from his previous videos for the aforementioned songs.

"In 'Fifteen,' I was reminiscing about a time when I was younger and aimlessly fucking around in Boston," says Johan of the new track. "I often wish I could get back to that feeling of being carefree and directionless, just hanging with friends, getting high, riding the train in and out of the city with little concern about the future. But it’ll never be quite like that again for me or my friends because we all have real responsibilities now. And we just have to be fine with that."

As we previously mentioned, the surge of new material comes after a year working with producers such as No I.D., Mike Dean and Travis Barker on projects for the likes of Kanye West, Travis Scott, Alessia Cara, Teyana Taylor and Vic Mensa, but now the Los Angeles-based artist is focused on releasing his own material.
