Emerging artist Matt Ryder is dropping in today with his new single "Not the Same," an enamoring listen.

The Birmingham-based producer-singer fuses delicate production with a wave of emotion on the new track, which follows his recent debut 50FT EP, released late last year. The new song is said to be reflective of the fact that in 2020 "falling in love with somebody, is not like it used to be."

The song is partly inspired by Ryder's search for privacy in a world where it really doesn't exist.

“I felt like I was constantly overthinking everything I was doing and saying, even the thoughts I had I would overthink," he says, noting: "I was encouraged by the teenage society I was involved with. You can never really have a private life when you're young.”
