William Fitzsimmons has announced plans to release a new album, Lions, his follow-up to 2010's Gold In The Shadow.
The new LP was produced by Chris Walla (guitarist for Death Cab For Cutie), whose previous production credits include work with Tegan and Sara, The Decemberists and The Postal Service, among others.
Lions is described as a "career-defining album that explores Fitzsimmons' personal transformation over the last few years."
"The last couple of years have been wonderful, painful, long, incredibly brief, and more educational and rewarding than any I've ever lived before. 'Lions' is something I'm terribly proud of and utterly connected to," Fitzsimmons said of the new album.
In anticipation of the album, Fitzsimmons has shared an acoustic performance of one of its tracks, "Centralia." That video can be seen below.
Lions arrives Feb. 18 via Nettwerk Records.
