Everyone had to assume it'd be interesting once bright and bubbly Kerry Washington had to shoot her joint Saturday Night Live promos with cold and mysterious Eminem. And now we know.

After releasing Washington's solo ads, NBC on Thursday unveiled clips including Mr. Mathers, who appears like stone while the Scandal star chats it up with SNL player Nasim Pedrad, trying to make the rapper crack a smile.

While the ladies' attempts prove mostly unsuccessful, Em does speak up once the idea of cupcakes is brought up, turning to Washington and admitting, "I love cupcakes."

The Washington-Mathers episode of SNL airs this Saturday.
