Chance the Rapper is heading into the weekend with his new song “The Heart & the Tongue.”

On the track, which notably includes the lyrics in an accompanying video, Chance defers to his spitfire delivery with no frills, no guest appearances, no big production tricks, no huge band or choir. 

And that seems to be the point, as Chance is focused on the words, which are less a monologue coming from one perspective and more of a "dialogue"—between the heart and the tongue, with listeners witnessing the back-and-forth.
