Not even a year after releasing his standout debut album tendency to be a loner, Zachary Knowles is back with new music.

He's charting a new path with a brisk, wonderfully addictive new single called "Cigarettes," which is out now on FADER Label. The new song, which Knowles teased last month, follows the release of tendency to be a loner, which arrived last August.

That album featured co-production from the fellow Variance such as Alexander 23 and X Lovers, and now it appears Knowles is ready to start a new chapter, so we're excited to see what comes next. Of course, Knowles has clearly been busy. Earlier this year, he also appeared on Sydney Rose's single "Things That Don't Exist."
