It's kind of the perfect collaboration, and today we've got it! Phoenix just released a new song called "Tonight," which happens to feature Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig.

The new track, which is Phoenix's first time featuring a guest vocalist, arrived Wednesday alongside news of the band's album, Alpha Zulu, which is coming Nov. 4 via Loyaute/Glassnote Records. It's the band's first record in five years, following their 2017 album Ti Amo.

The song is accompanied by a video directed by Oscar Boyson. It was shot in Tokyo and Paris (partly in the band’s own studio in Musée des Arts Décoratifs).

"We felt it would be a fantastic adventure to create something out of nothing in a museum,” says the band's Laurent “Branco” Brancowitz. “And so with the pandemic, we could live exactly this scene, to be alone in an empty museum.”
